Our Zambia Ministry

Zambia, located in south central Africa, is under extreme pressure because of AIDS. It is predicted that within the next 10 years, 50% of African adults will die or be dying from AIDS, and in 1998 while 200,000 Africans died in war, more than 2 million died of AIDS. In Zambia, this means that many children are left with no parents to care for them and simple things like education are threatened because of teacher shortages.

Kids Alive has established six Children's Homes in Zambia which provide loving parental care to a growing number of children. Our school projects include: Sefula Jerusalem School, Mongu CMML School, and the Emmanuel Kids Alive Centre, which provides schooling and daily meals for over a hundred village children who are too poor to afford such care.
